Seamless Storage Expansion Without Interrupting Your Workflow
The Synology DX525 provides a convenient way to expand the storage capacity of a compatible Synology DiskStation with five additional drive bays. Supporting both 3.5" SATA HDDs and 2.5" SATA SSDs, it enables new storage volumes to be created or existing volumes to be expanded through Synology DiskStation Manager. Plug-and-play installation and hot-swappable drive support allow storage upgrades and drive replacements with minimal service interruption. The DX525 can also be configured as a separate local backup volume, helping protect important data stored on the host DiskStation. A supplied USB Type-C expansion cable provides a dedicated connection to the host NAS, while synchronised power recovery, dual cooling fans and RAID management through DSM provide convenient and dependable operation.
