1. Introduction
Welcome to GD Technologies ("we," "us," or "our"), a South African-based ICT, electronics, and gadgets e-commerce website. We are committed to delivering all orders within a specific scope of time frame. This Shipping Policy explains how we process orders either for collection or delivery.
The following are our shipping and collection guidelines:
Please note this is an online store, our stock comes from our branches as well as our supplier warehouses. Processing times differ with the product's origin. Stock available means we have stock in hand(in the shop) or in our warehouse. In the case of the stock available in the warehouse, this implies that we can obtain/collect the stock within the processing time.
a. Collections: Processing time for collection is 24 hours to 48hours. Please wait for a confirmation message before you reach out to any of our branches. Please specify which branch you would like to collect from. Some products attract more processing time, and some products are delivery-only. If you wish to collect any product, please confirm with the branch you wish to collect from whether the product can be collected from that branch.
b. Delivery: We use a courier company for all our deliveries, subject to a few exceptions. Please note delivery may take 1day to 2 working days in Gauteng and surrounding provinces after processing. Other provinces may take 2 to 4 working days. Once the order is fulfilled, please note that it will be in the hands of the courier companies. We may not be held liable for the courier delays or failed deliveries. Failed deliveries might be returned to our branch of origin.
c. Shipping cost: A standard shipping fee of R109.25 is charged for every order. Free shipping is offered to customers who spend more than R5000.00 on a standard order. Please note that standard shipping and free shipping do not apply to oversized parcels like poles, standing cabinets, office furniture, etc. Please note that additional shipping charges may apply to oversized orders even after the order has been placed. Additional charges will be applied to all returned failed delivery orders.
NB: Please take note that an additional shipping fee may apply to certain addresses. In this regard, we are bound by the terms and conditions of our courier company. According to our courier company, an additional shipping fee is charged on the delivery addresses that are regarded as dangerous and or risk zone/area. Upon booking your item for shipping, it will automatically reflect on our system then we will advise you of the actual delivery fee at your address.
d. Processing: As much as we strive to process all orders on the purchase date, but orders placed after 2:00 pm may be processed on the following day. Some orders may take 2 to 4 working days to process, as some of our stock will be coming from outside the provinces. Please note orders marked restocking soon may take up to 8 weeks to process. Please note that we use different sales channels and different sources of stock, hence processing time may be delayed but to suppliers' stock taking or suppliers' events.
e. Changes to this Shipping Policy
We may update this Shipping Policy from time to time. We will post the revised Shipping Policy on our website, and the revised policy will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of our website after the posting of the updated Shipping Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
